😕Am I enough? Find evidence of your enoughness here.

This is a question my clients torture themselves with daily, especially after a setback in life or a relationship, a poor review or layoff.

It's natural for your brain to ask these questions because it's job is to keep you safe and small. It won't automatically encourage you to believe you are enough and necessary, because that's too risky.

Your “enoughness” has nothing to do with how much you do, how many hours you work, how much money you make, how many clients you have, your title or your employment status. It also has nothing to do with what others think of you or how they treat you.

You are simply enough, just because you exist.

For many, it is helpful to find the evidence that you are enough and you are necessary.

Here's how. Get out paper and pen. Write each statement below and a minimum of 5 reasons why …

1. I am enough, just as I am because …

2. I am worthy because …

3. I am valuable because …

4. I have something to offer because …

5. I am necessary because …

6. The world is better with me in it because …

If you're not finding reasons for each one you are blocked. The evidence is there, it just needs to be uncovered. Take a walk, take some deep breaths, come back to the exercise later until you get at least 5. If you find more than 5, keep going!!!

Keep this list handy. Read and reread it whenever you're feeling down on yourself.

Importantly, don't ever let someone else determine your worth. You determine this. Manage your brain, take back control, and remind yourself of all the examples of how it is true.

"We often block our own blessings because we don't feel inherently good enough or smart enough or pretty enough or worthy enough... You're worthy because you are born and because you are here. Your being here, your being alive makes worthiness your birthright. You alone are enough." — Oprah Winfrey

If after following the suggestion above you're still struggling with your worth, let's talk about it.

My clients walk away from our conversations having clarity and confidence about themselves and their future. And so can you!
