☮️ An easy way to bring calm & focus to everyday.

You know when your to-do list seems overwhelming, anxiety sets in and you can't focus on anything?

 

When this happens to me, it's a sign: I need to shift from "to-do" to "to-be".


Sounds crazy, right? When you have so much to do, how can pausing help you get through it?


🔬 Research supports letting yourself just "be" activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress hormones and improving emotional regulation and mental clarity. There are several ways you can shift from "do"to "be." Examples include sitting silently in a quiet space focusing on your breath, following a meditation practice, praying, or being in nature. Practices like these help us stay grounded, focused, and purposeful throughout the day.

 

My daily practice includes prayer and meditation:

🙏 I find a quiet place, kneel, and express gratitude to God.

🧠 I share the worries on my mind and heart and ask for guidance and calm.

💙 I sit quietly, allowing space for clarity and peace to emerge.

 

I do this every morning and without fail, it helps me approach the day with focus and intention—free from overwhelm and anxiety.  

 

It doesn't need to take long. I'm an advocate of starting with just 3 minutes of day. You choose what's best for you, just plan it into your schedule, stick with it and see what happens!
