🔥 Burnout: the #1 thing to do about it.

laura61976

Don't do what I did. I waited too long to seek help. I burned out.

The constant pressure of juggling it all—a demanding full-time job with travel, kids with ADHD in multiple sports and activities, trying to stay present with an endless to-do list running through my mind, putting meals on the table while dishes and laundry piled up, and managing my out-of-control dog—was too much.

I was overwhelmed, sleepless, and completely out of balance. My mental, physical and emotional health suffered. I was snapping at my kids - yelling so much at times my vocal cords hurt. It took a toll on me and my relationships.

I didn't understand why I felt so drained or how to dig myself out.

Turns out, I wasn't alone.

According to the 2024 Workforce Trends Report, 82% of workers experience some form of burnout—and the rates are even higher among younger professionals.

No wonder so many clients come to me feeling burned out. Many are moms of young kids, striving to balance everything perfectly. They've forgotten about their own well-being as they try to please everyone else. On the surface, they seem like they “have it all together,” but inside, they're falling apart.

How do you know if you have burnout?

Burnout is more than stress. It's a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged, excessive demands—whether from work, caregiving, or life itself. It drains your motivation, productivity, and energy, leaving you feeling helpless, irritable, detached, and completely drained.

How Do You Eliminate Burnout?

The #1 thing you can do: Seek help.

Research shows that meeting regularly with an accountability partner increases your chances of beating burnout by 95%.

Burnout often stems from not prioritizing what's most important to you or failing to set boundaries around those priorities. Meeting regularly with someone—a trusted friend, colleague, or coach—can help you clarify your goals, set boundaries, and stay accountable.

Hiring a professional coach can be a game-changer. A coach provides non-judgmental support, guiding you to:

☑ Rediscover who you are and what matters most.

☑ Create meaningful guardrails for your life.

☑ Develop tools to navigate the everyday demands.

☑ Stay accountable to the changes you want to make.

When I went through burnout, I waited too long to seek help. If I'd had support earlier, I could have saved myself so much stress and suffering.

Now that I received coaching and skills to manage stress, I'm on the other side of it. I am fully at peace, inspired, and my healthiest self - mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally.

If you're struggling with burnout, don't wait. Take it seriously before it manifests into something bigger.

What will you do to get the support you deserve today?
