My brother Pete was born with a brain disability and epilepsy. He will never drive a car, hold a job, or live on his own. And yes, at times, that reality weighs on him.
But Pete has a profound purpose—one that touches everyone he meets.
A few years ago, Father’s Day and my wedding anniversary landed on the same day. I was grieving my dear dad, who had passed the year before, and I wasn’t expecting much celebration for myself.
Pete had other plans for me.
He bought flowers and chocolates, prepared a speech, and stood at the dinner table to talk about love and family, much like my dad used to do. He reminded me of my dad in the most unexpected way and instantly transformed my sadness into joy.
Pete's impact extends far beyond our family. Just last week, he was nominated for two awards by Opportunity Partners (OP) his provider for daily enrichment and residential support. These are just two of many recognitions he's received over the years.
I share this not only because I'm proud of Pete, but because he reminds us...
💡 Purpose is not about what we can't do—it's about the difference we can make, right where we are.
Now it's time to ask yourself...
